My Story

Mark Robinson was born and raised on his family farm in the picturesque rural community of Eldorado, Eastern Ontario.

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Canadian Shield, Mark developed a profound appreciation for the outdoors, which has become the cornerstone of his artistic inspiration. In 1986, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph.

A lifelong explorer of Canada’s landscapes, Mark began capturing nature’s beauty through photography, building an extensive collection of images that celebrate the light, color, and textures of the outdoors.

In 2013, encouraged by a close artist friend and inspired by his rich archive of photographs and personal experiences in nature, Mark began painting landscapes in acrylic.

Mark has cultivated a unique style that brings the outdoors to life on canvas. His paintings emphasize light and color, transporting viewers to serene lakes, sunlit forests, and quiet trails. His work evokes a deep connection to nature, engaging the senses with the warmth of sunlight, the earthy scent of pines, and the tranquil sound of water lapping at the shore.

Deeply connected to his rural roots, Mark continues to live and work on his family farm, where he and his wife, Wendy, manage cash crops alongside their faithful dog, Chili. Through his art, Mark invites viewers to experience Canada’s breathtaking landscapes and the timeless beauty of rural life, creating moments of reflection and connection to the natural world.
